Religious Discrimination in Education
Has your child been denied admission to a public or private school in Connecticut because of your religious beliefs and the state refusal to allow religious exemptions?
Connecticut eliminated the religious exemption for school entry in April 2021 under Public-Act 21-6. Grandfathering allowed students with valid exemptions before April 28, 2021 to remain exempt but since September 1 2022, no new religious exemptions are accepted for daycare, preschool or K-12 enrollment.
If you child was barred from school-either public or private on these grounds please complete this form.
All information will be used as evidence, presented to the Religious Liberty Commission in February 2026.
